Awesome Mailday! Receiving the Coolest Card I own and the Creepiest one also!

Hi everyone, here is the video:

For $20, I picked up two lots of Tyson Chandler Autos and GU! I thought he was one of the major keys to the mavs winning the title!
Here are the autos:
and the newest coolest card I own is that Upper Deck Glass auto in the top right corner. As the name suggests, the card is clear and is made of "glass" (really plastic I think I can't really tell). The card is unbelievably cool.

Here are the Jerseys:

Some really nice patches!

I also received some team lots for the A's, Red Sox, San Francisco Giants, and Rams from Jaybarkerfan that I will be posting soon. The cards look awesome, but I had to notice one problem in the form of this card:..
First of all, this isn't a ram, but that's not the problem. Those pants/boxers/swim trunks are some of the most obnoxious pants I have ever seen. This set of portraits gets even stranger by the way. In all seriousness, I'm looking forward to digging into the lots!

GSNHOF Trade Bait Draft 2

I'm the Cleveland Cavaliers of the blogging community because I hold the #1 pick in the GSNHOF Trade Bait Draft, so go over there and support the draft!

Getting Ready for the NBA Draft: A 2009 Certified Blaster!

We all make excuses to go to target or walmart to pick up cards, but this time, I was making an Amazon purchase and decided, why not throw in a blaster. The addiction has reached a new level. Anyways, I thought I'd give a $20 2009 certified blaster a try because of the upcoming NBA draft. The blasters have a numbered hit and two numbered inserts. Each blaster also includes a retail exclusive certified potential insert.
Here is the break:

Check Out Emerald City Diamond Gems!

Recently, I posted a video that contained some of the cards I received from a Topps Series 2 Jumbo Case Break from A Cardboard Problem. Unfortunately or fortunately, I don't have much use for 5 team sets of the Mariners. Luckily, I found that Mariner1 from Emerald City Diamond Gems was searching for the set. If you want to see scans of the whole team set and most of the inserts, check out his post here!

A Beautiful PC addition and a 2010 Topps Chrome Break

First of all, here is a beautiful addition to the Rams PC:

2006 Playoff  #64 Torry Holt autograph #2/5

The card and sticker is silver with a refractor finish and looks much better in real life. The scan does the card no justice. Nothing like picking up a beautiful PC auto of a great player numbered out of 5 for only $10!

At the card shop, I picked up the last six packs of Topps Chrome.
I'm a huge fan of the design of both the inserts and the base cards.
Here is the video break:

I'm a big fan of the LT chrome rookie. It's an awesome looking card and who cares if rookie cards aren't valuable and reprints are common? This card makes me feel like the little kid who opens an old pack and finds a rookie of his favorite player.

Rising Rookies, Topps Chrome, and Jeremy Lin/Dirk Nowitzki Mailday

Hey everyone, busted a few hobby packs of Rising Rookies, one pack of chrome, and got two cool cards from eBay.
Here's the video:

Here are the two mailday cards!

Nothing like a jumbo jersey of the NBA Finals MVP. I'm starting a Lin PC, but unfortunately, the Lin is too  thick for this sleeve and toploader and has some dings on the corners.

Complete list of rookies and inserts after the jump!

Mailday! A Cardboard Problem, BA Benny's, and Kim Clijsters!

Check out the video! Thanks to A Cardboard Problem and BA Benny's! If you like the Mariners, feel free to contact me because I don't need 5 team sets!
And to celebrate the mavs, you have got to watch Flula's videos about the Finals. Funniest videos ever.

Topps Magic Pack #2

Same drill as last post, answers at the bottom.
#72 Deion Branch
Deion has held bowling and flag football tournaments to raise money for what cause?
Nice picture of the space needle on the back.

 Jerome Harrison #153
What nickname did Jerome earn at Washington State because he "disappeared" on long runs?

His body looks kind of contorted in the picture.

# MM-13 Fred Jackson

Commemorates the first ever 1,000 rushing and 1,000 kickoff return yards season.

# 163 Matt Leinart
Besides Leinart, which other Heisman Trophy winner did Mater Dei High in Santa Ana, Calif., produce?

Weird seeing him in the Texans uniform. On the back, for his fact, they had to go back to 2006 when he led the Cardinals to a 27-21 win over Seattle.

#174 Adrian Peterson
Peterson's non-stop energy as a child plus his hard work at football, earned him what nickname?

Nice looking action shot, like the expression on his face.

#36 Kellen Clemens mini #18/50
Kellen is a sixth-generation member of his family to be in what profession?
Always nice to get a numbered card, but this card has an identical non-numbered version which confuses me.

Answers:
1. Meningitis research
2. "Ghost"
3. John Huarte (1964)
4. "All Day" [I prefer AD to AP.]
5. Cattle Ranching

Topps Magic Pack #1

Hi everyone, I'm saving up a bit right now for a next big hobby purchase, so I'm going to slow my buying down with this pack a day series. Today we have a pack from Topps Magic because the cards are fun to look at and have (sometimes) interesting trivia! The answers will be at the bottom.

#129 Ben Tate
Who were the only two RBs with a faster 40 time than Ben's 4.43 at the 2010 NFL Combine?
#63 Ed Reed Mini
At what position did Ed take all-district accolades as a high school baseball player?

#181 Matt Forté
Matt's father, Gene, served as captain of which Louisiana college's football team?
#4 Fred Jackson
Fred paced what NFL Europa squad with 731 rushing yards in 2006

#113 Jordy Nelson
With 55 NFL career receptions, Nelson ranks ninth among players born in Kansas. Who is first?

#119 Steve Young, Short Print
Three of the 21 QBs to have passed for 33,000 yards were with the Buccaneers in spring 1987. Name them.

Answers:
1. C.J. Spiller and Jahvid Best
2. Pitcher
3. Tulane
4. Rhein Fire
5. Barry Sanders (325)
6. Young, Vinny Testaverde, and Steve DeBerg

2010 Topps Value Box--Strasburg!

Stopped by Target, and they had the 2010 best of chrome boxes for $10 off (probably because of the year and how the million card giveaway codes don't work anymore).

If you haven't seen them they look like this: (picture "borrowed" from My Cardboard Mistress)
The box contains: 5 exclusive orange refractors, 5 packs of 2010 Bowman Chrome, 5 packs of 2010 Topps Chrome, and a Bowman Platinum Hobby Pack. (also two million card giveaway codes but they are expired).
Here are the prospects and two x-fractors I received.
From Left to Right, Wil Meyers, Jake Peavy X-fractor, Chase Utley X-fractor, Taylor Sinclair, Mike McCoy, Austin Jackson, Carlos Pimentel, Tony Wolters, Chris Masters. I look up the prospects, but since I'm mainly a football fan, I'd love any opinions you have!

Here are the Orange exclusive refractors and a Josh Donaldson Prospect. Sorry for the poor scans.

Here are the hits of the box: Jorge Posada #37 Purple Refractor # 197/599, Stephen Strasburg #212 Rookie, Scott McGough Team USA refractor # 240/999.

This product is cheap and lots of fun to open! If it's discounted at your local retailer, give it a try! Otherwise, take a look at the 2011 Diamond Value Boxes!
Of course when I recorded the break the battery ran out as soon as I saw the Strasburg.

Considering the popularity of Bowman and A and G, these are probably the best prices you're going to get. However, I'd probably go with a hobby box instead of the retail.

Bowman 2010 Draft Picks and Prospects Blaster and a 2011 Topps Rack Pack Break

Last week I fell into the Bowman craze, but my Target only had 2010 Draft Picks and Prospects and a 2011 Topps Rack Pack.

This will be just a quick recap and summary and not a full review since all I bought was a blaster and a rack pack.
