Box Break Bonanza: 2009 Just Minors Team USA Mini Helmet

Purchased: $23.95 from dacardworld.com

I'm breaking a box everyday this week so checkout the two previous breaks below or in the sidebar!

This product contains 1 autographed USA mini helmet and 1 autographed card. The card will probably be a throwaway autograph like mine was of a retired single A prospect. I purchased this product because it is a pretty cheap piece of nice-looking memorabilia  and the checklist is great. Since this is a team USA product, most of the issues with minor league products are avoided. The checklist includes David Price, Joe Mauer, Mark Teixeira, Andrew McCutchen, Roy Oswalt, and many other MLB Stars/above-average players. The only players who haven't panned out are Brandon Wood, who plays for the Pirates, and Lars Anderson who is in AAA for Boston but will likely arrive in the majors next year. The Brandon Wood autos are also rare and uncommon, so it's not likely that you will run into them. You've gotta love a high chance to get an autographed mini helmet of a star.

The helmet itself is pretty cheap looking and doesn't look particularly nice, but it probably looks much better if you get a top autograph. There are red, blue, and black helmets but I have only seen the red ones. When buying this product, I have to recommend getting a few boxes so that you have a good chance at a Mauer, Oswalt, Teix, McCutchen, or Billy Butler auto because all of those helmets are in the common category. The awesome checklist makes this a best value box.

Here is my break:
I pulled a Saltalamacchia mini helmet #45/50. It was nice to pull a numbered helmet, but saltamahcjachjhuis is just meh. At least he plays for the Red Sox someone is interested in this helmet.
