A Couple High-end Cards: What Should I Do? Quick Contest!

I recently jumped one on of those port sales on Checkoutmycards where a seller lists each card at a huge discount. I picked up two cards for great prices that I could easily flip for profit, but I kind of want to keep them too:

2009 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Elite Series Autographs #1 - Dustin Ackley/100 #/100

Normally I could never afford a prospect/college auto of a future great (is it too soon?), but these Ackley cards have been hot and I figured I could sell this card easily. However, this is a card that I can see myself proudly displaying in a few years as one of the best cards in my collection. Still, I'll probably flip the card and buy a rookie/prospect Posey auto (I don't have any yet).

2009-10 SP Game Used 4 on 4 Fabrics 65 #FFGUARD - Walt Frazier Clyde Drexler Spud Webb Steve Kerr Michael Jordan John Stockton Jeff Hornacek Dan Majer #/65

I didn't even realize this card held eight jersey swatches when I bought it....
I really would like to get this card delivered to me before I sell it. Picturing four hall of famers and four other iconic NBA legends, this card is simply incredible. I'm really debating whether to sell or keep this one especially since I've never had a Jordan memorabilia card.

For a chance to win some 1991 1953 Topps Archives Cards:
Which card do you think I paid more for?
What should I do with the cards?
You must answer the first question correctly to get into the drawing.

  1. I bet you paid the most for the card with the MJ swatch. I'd hang on to that one, personally.

  2. I will venture to say that the hoops 8 swatch was the highre priced of the two. I dint collect either so I wouls say sell.

  3. Unless someone was really desperate to sell, I'll say you paid more for the basketball relics. I don't even collect basketball cards, but if I were you, I'd hang on to that and find some way to display so both sides can be seen.

  4. I'll put out a guess that you paid more for the auto.

    Flip 'em.

  5. I'll guess the auto was more expensive. I'd sell/trade the auto and keep the jersey card.

  6. I'm guessing the jersey card was more expensive. I'd personally keep the jersey card, just because I'm a Stockton collector. It seems like you like both, so I'd say go with your gut and keep them for a bit.

  7. I'd guess the auto was more expensive.

I think you should give me the Iowa State card (I call it that since it has a Hornacek relic...even if it does have that Jordan guy, too).

  8. I'd guess the 8 swatch was higher. Wow! I'd totally keep them both, but do what makes you happy!

  9. I think you paid more for the NBA card. Anything with Jordan is big time.

Also, trade both. You can get a really nice return that better fits your PC. Plus, trading is fun!

  10. I think the Ackley auto went for more because he's a rookie and doing pretty well. He sure would look nice in my collection.

  11. I'm going to say the Jordan swatch was the most. I would hang on to both personally, see how Ackley does the next couple years and then maybe sell.
