This week will have lots of posts and lots of contests! You can see the original post here where entries will be open until my next post!
Here's the video:
Here are the base cards and a Will Smith Rookie # 8/62. These cards look great and are mostly of stars, so there's nothing to complain about!
Here's an awesome Deion Sanders Dual Patch # 33/50! Congrats to him on the Hall of Fame!
Even better...

For two entries towards the randomization:
What's your opinion on single pack products with few base cards?
That Rivers is killer. I'm not a big set collector so fewer base cards don't bother me. As long as I have a cance at some hits!
ReplyDeleteMy opinion is that they are awesome!!!! But they suck because I never get them. Seriously, it seems less like card collecting than I am used to.
ReplyDeleteYay, I can post comments now! I don't have too big a problem with fewer base cards, unless there's just too few. At some point you have to ask why the base set is there. On the other hand, I like the idea of non-super-limited versions of cards available for normal people - so base sets and insert versions without relics/autos appeal to me. Plus, if the base set has a nice design, like all sets should, it should be worth collecting, and thus I'd like to have them available enough to put a set together.
ReplyDeleteBut then, products that come one pack per box are generally beyond my price range.
I don't like them. i want to bust a box of cards. I want to build the set. trade with my friends.
ReplyDeleteLove the eX btw... and great card of Rivers.
I'd rather get a bunch of cards, but it's fun to go for something with a big hit now and then. That Rivers is nice!
ReplyDeleteLoving the Rivers! As for my opinion... I couldn't care less.
ReplyDeleteHits make everything better.
ReplyDeleteEverything.
And that Rivers is am absolute beaut. I'd love to trade for it, if by chance it happened to be available.
I'm a team collector, so I like getting lots of cards and lots of base. I'm not willing to pay for the hits.
ReplyDeleteThe single pack single hit stuff is verrry hit or miss. Much more so than traditional product. Lets take 2010 Topps Supreme for example. You are going to pay over 100 bucks for a pack of it and you could hit a single color jersey of a no name rookie that is worth a few dollars more than the 3-4 base cards you get with it.Especially me, being a college kid with a tight budget to spend on the hobby I love,am not O.K with taking this risk.Give me a good traditional product with a emphasis on Vets and Legends any day.
ReplyDeleteAs an old school guy, I don't need all the gimmicks. Give me more base cards, and keep all your inserta and autos, and fake relics.
ReplyDeleteAnother base set collector here. I'd rather complete a set.
ReplyDeleteI've never consider myself a lucky collector, so the fewer cards in the pack, the less chance I have of getting something good. I'd prefer a pack with 9 or 10 cards over something smaller, even if I have a chance to get something better.
ReplyDeleteNot a big fan. Looks like the players are getting sucked into a black hole with the oval around them. Wouldn't complain if that happened with the almost ruined season!
ReplyDeleteIt depends on what you are looking for. Bad for set collectors. Good for relic pullers.
ReplyDeleteI'm a player collector and the players I collect are generally not included into the one-pack in a box products, so I don't have much use for them due to their price.
ReplyDeleteI like them...but not for me. A set where the only draw is the hits would work well...like Sweet Spot. Who collected the Sweet Spot base set anyway? Nice Rivers rookie
ReplyDeleteLooks like most bloggers, as I expected are set collectors and like to pull cards from their favorite teams and players.
ReplyDeleteI rarely open single pack products also, but it's always nice to have the potential for a major hit. Personally, I rarely put sets together because I can never stay focused on one product!
Not a fan... but I certainly see why some people like them. I guess I'm too much of a set builder.
ReplyDeleteAs primarily a set builder for the most part, products with few base cards are not my normal purchase. If I'm guaranteed a decent shot at a decent hit, I'd buy a pack or two like this. But generally, I'll stick with the more base cards per pack stuff...
